Primo Driving Schools, now part of Coastline Academy
Since the 1980’s Westwood has been a hub for safe driving in the Los Angeles Area. Originally home to Westwood Driving Schools (est. 1979), Primo Driving Schools continued Westwood’s tradition of thoughtful instruction, quality customer service, and outstanding value through 2025 when Primo joined Coastline Academy.
Coastline Academy is proud to bring the quality and resources of the largest driving school in the United States to bolster the talented local team at Primo.

Need a car for the DMV test? Primo has taken hundreds of students to the DMV test, and helped them prepare to pass on their first try!
We handle everything from scheduling your test with the DMV and your instructor, to check-in on the day of.
Get picked up an hour before your scheduled test, use the hour to get to the DMV and become acquainted to the vehicle, and then relax as you are seamlessly guided through the check-in process.
